"Hands and Hearts for Honduras"

It’s time to go!  At 7:30 AM this Thursday morning, April 5, thirty-two of the most excited people you’d care to bump into will board an American flight to Miami and onto Tegucigalpa, Honduras

The “we” is no one church or organization.  We have men, women, and teens.  There will be novices as well as veterans.  Our ages range from thirteen to near-sixty.  We are a conglomeration of students, teachers, psychologists, factory workers, stay-at-home-moms, computer tech folks, building contractors, bank tellers, bank managers, business administrators, farmers, real estate reps, marketing managers, nurses, receptionists…and we vary in religious backgrounds.

But we are all united on one important matter – we want to make a difference in the lives of the people of Honduras.  We are humbly offering our hands and hearts for Honduras and God will be glorified and we will be as blessed as we are a blessing.

We return very late the night of Sunday, April 15.  May I ask you to pray for our journey, especially the journey of our hearts?  If you would like to stay in touch with our daily adventures, please click on the “Links” tab and choose “Called and Compelled”.  This is the blog of our like-a-daughter, Jen Wright, who directs Casa de Esperanza, an orphanage in Tegucigalpa.  Jen is a gifted writer and you will be hugely blessed by reading her heart’s reflections and seeing the pictures of our daily experiences.

Often people ask me what we do there.  So I am including an itinerary here to give you an idea of our day-to-day plans.  You will notice that most nights we return to the Mission House by 8PM.  This is because it is dangerous for us to be up in the mountains after nightfall.

Thank you for your prayers…to God be the glory!

From One Captured Heart to Another,

Kay
